Themed Dorm Room Decorating!!
That's right this is decorating with speed! How fast can you decorate?
Week one theme. From March 1st - March 3rd 6pm US Central time.

While following Shane MacGobhann one day you watch him dart under a rainbow, once he leaves you go to where he had darted in and behold there is his Pot o' Gold, quickly you grab it up and run to your dorm room. You begin to count to find out there is 1000 gold pieces in this Pot o' Gold. You wonder could I decorate a dorm room with only this amount?
1000 gold max!!
What this means is everything in the room must not go over the total amount of 1000 in game gold. You will also need to give a list of each item and its cost so be careful!
Example: Wall paper and flooring cost 100 gold each, that is 200 to that grand total of 1000. You may go under the total but you may not go over.
Rules for this week theme only:
No pets and No Crowned only items also if you craft the price of the recipe is what will count, if you craft 2 it will double. The pet you have equip to your wizard will be the only exception.
Tip: Over 50 items used means a crowned only item was used. Keep your list under 50.

After using all Shane MacGobhann's gold you decided that you need to take his empty pot back. Only problem is you cannot find where the rainbow is. You decide to decorate your dorm in the colors of the rainbow in hopes it will help you return the empty pot to Shane MacGobhann.

Example: Rainbow colors-Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo(deep blue), Violet(purple)
For this week: There is no set limit of spending or space( You must stay within the dorm room walls though).
I do want to see all the colors of the rainbow. When you send in your entry, List what you used for each color of the rainbow.

What about Grub Guardian dropped items?
ReplyDeleteNo they will be added to cost , I would check bazaar cost. Only items that will not add to cost of 1000 will be the items that come with the dorm room. They do count towards your 50 items.
DeleteAlso, what about enemy dropped items and bazaar items?
ReplyDeleteIs it the vendor price or the price you acquired it for?
Add the price you paid from the bazaar. If it is a very rare item I know the cost. You can always look at wiki central for prizes too.

ReplyDelete1) Prices vary at the Bazaar, so do we just put price we bought item at?
2) Free Housing Items (press x to collect). You can get some in the bazaar, but I have a lot I collected. Do they count as some of your gold?
3) If you use rugs and crates to float, but then pick them up (except mayb 1 rug), do they still count as part of your gold? Or is it just items in the room?
1)Only free items that will be not added to your 1000 total will be your items that come with the dorm room . They do count against your 50 items though.
Delete2) If you leave that rug you better count it.

Are we allowed to use housing items we already have? That way, we're not spending any extra gold. Or do we have to buy all new items for less than 1000 gold?

DeleteI'm so excited :D 1000 gold is a small price but I got an idea of how to decorate my dorm I already started and so far its going good :) And one question--> If we put the Open Book (the one that you collect) will it go to our price cause when I try sell it it says sell for 0 gold o.O
ReplyDeleteIf it is no auction you will not have a price. Some things I under stand. Make sure to list it. If anything can be bought with gold you must use that price.

ReplyDeleteNo auction means no price. Hidden furniture if you can buy it in bazaar you have to add it to list total. All items need to be listed.

ReplyDeleteYes the pot you use count towards the 1000 so does the plant. The only pot that do not count towards are the ones that originally come in the dorm room small wizard city one.

ReplyDeleteI am sorry you feel this away. I have judges and they judge all dorm fairly. This does not mean you dorm was better or not better. All it means is that you dorm did not score higher with judges. I am sure you dorm was beautiful they all were.

What if the item isn't floating, but is on the ground and put into the walls to save space? Does that count as floating an item? Because i have some big objects that i want to put into my dorm, but are a little too big.
ReplyDeleteThat is allowed. What is not allowed is trails going up and outside the dorm room. You can use all of the inside you wish. If you want to sink a big item into the wall but still see most of it in your dorm you that is fine.
