Beware of the Jolly Roger posted at Pirate101 tells you about the History of Pirate Flags. I got to thinking about the flags Pirate101 showed us. Of course we all know the Jolly Roger and the meaning of the white and black skull and cross bones flag. Other Pirate Flags included.

I found some interesting information on flag colors and what they could represent.
Black- Could be determination. Even the defeating of your enemy.
Blue -Could be freedom, vigilance, perseverance, justice, and prosperity
Green -Can symbolize the Earth, and agriculture.
Red- Often courage, revolution, hardiness, blood, and valor.
White- Often peace and purity. A simple white flag could be surrender.
Yellow- Often the sun, wealth, and justice.
Purple- Could represent love and hope of all people.
