Third annual The Best Little Dorm in Wizard City official contest starts now! Hurry! You only have until July 22, 2012 to enter.
This isn't just any little old decorating contest, though. There are twists and turns ahead!
First twist: Decorate your dorm to represent what you think a Time Travel theme dorm would be like. Time Travel theme can be past, present or future.
The turn: You must use all 5 items below.
2. Tic tac Toe 0 piece. ( Wizard city) You must show piece in image.
3. Mature Plant. ( Can be any plant but must be in Mature/Adult stage. Not a seedling, young or elder.)--Please show plant in screenshot.
4. Something red. One of the other 4 items cannot be used as red item.
5. Well traveled suitcase. ( crowned shop) Can be purchase with crowns or gold.
Wait!There is one more twist to this contest.
Second twist:
Write 2 paragraphs :
Paragraph 1 -Write about how your dorm represents the Time Travel theme. Which is involved; past, present or future.
Paragraph 2 - Write about how you used the 5 special items in your dorm and how they work into the theme. (Tell how each of the 5 items worked into your Time Travel theme design.)
( You may add a title.)
Official Rules:
* Using all 5 items pictured above, you must decorate your dorm in a Time Travel Theme.
* This contest begins July 8, 2012 and ends July 22, 2012at 9pm(Wizard101) Central time.
* You may use as many other items as you wish to make your dorm complete.
* You may only enter once.
* 2 Paragraphs must be sent with your entry screenshots.
* No more than 3 screenshots will be allowed (no videos), Your wizard must be in the sreenshots. (One screenshot must show the interactive item being used)
* All prizes will be awarded Via email of entry.
* Nobody may win in more than one category of prizes.
* To be fair to all entries you must stay within the dorm room space. (If you use floating technique you must stay within the walls of your dorm room.)
* Your wizard name must be sent with your entry. ( no real names please)
How to enter:
Following the official rules posted above, you will decorate your dorm In a Time Travel theme and submit with no more than 3 screen shots of your dorm along with your 2 paragraphs by July 22, 2012 at 9:00 PM Central US time.
How do I submit entries? Send all entries to Contest@paigemoonshade.com email.
( If you are under the age of 13 you need to have your parents or guardians permission.)
Late entries will not be accepted. You may not edit your entry. Please make sure it is correct before sending your entry in.
Any entry with more than 3 screenshots and more than 2 paragraphs will be immediately disqualified. No exceptions." No editing will be allowed on screenshots.

3 are the 2 paragraphs we have to write is more like a short story in which the 1st paragraph explains how u relating your story to time travel? ( like how it all began and why i am time travelling etc )
1. You can choose any of those. Judges choices will be; one for past, one for present and one for future though.
Delete2. No you can just write it in the email, notepad or wordpad if you like. I know I will have younger players entering. Main thing to think about it to make sure both tells the judges about your dorm and items, as per rules.
3 That would be up to you on the first paragraph. If you want a short story paragraph that works too. Paragraph 2 Judges need to know how you worked your 5 items into your theme.

Yes wall paper and flooring would count as a red item. The only thing that wont count is any of the other special items.

ReplyDeleteYou can crop your image to remove your back ground and such. But I would rather you keep icons. Because if your removed them you wont be able to show yourself interacting with that mean item.

ReplyDeleteWhat that means is showing that you can either press x. if you are using interactive items such as music player you must show the screen where you are adding music. How ever you interactive with item is what you need to show.

ReplyDeleteHum? You want to use the music player as your interactive item? You may Open where you add music to it and that would show you interacting with it. You may have as many of the same items as you want but you only need 1 to count for that item.

Time travel is the theme for this contest. You can make any time travel theme you wish. Must be past , present or future.

Hi Paige, I want to make the music player my interactive item but it's red and you said only one red item, what do i do?

On the e-mail do we have to include anything about our wizard? And is it required for us to show on the screen shots the 5 items? and can I use a garden Gnome as a red item? Also for the interactive item like a bobble head do we have to show you the head bobbling or the sign that says press x or click to bobble. Also can we just press F12 for the screenshot that seems to work for me

DeleteHiya! Well my plant is being stubborn on Time Travel entry so I decided to give the Yuletide in July a go on my death char while I'm waiting. I'm sure this is going to be a silly question but...I was wondering where you can get the holiday wallpapers. They weren't with Felix, that I saw, and definitely not in the crown shop. My guess is, I'm going to have a very hard time finding one xD

Yes. But you have to show the screen where you are marking in your dorm room. You cannot use it if you leave your dorm.
