So we all know each plant has likes and dislikes. This will be a list of tried items for each of these 2 plant types. Myself and a few friends are trying to find the furniture like for these 2 new plants. These are in test realm.

As many of you know, yesterday we experienced some technical difficulties which required us to temporarily lock our players out of their dorms, Castles & Lands. We realize that during this time many gardens may have suffered from some neglect. About the Exploit that Caused the Downtime

Greetings Wizards,

As many of you know, I am a Wizard101 housing decorator. When I learned of the harvesting bug, I quickly reported it to KingsIsle. I, for one, do not stack plants, but I support those who use it decoratively. The exploit allowed players to harvest without limit, bloating their Mega Snacks and reagents into the near-thousands. As a result, many innocent players were punished when they were not allowed into their homes yesterday, while KingsIsle was repairing the issue. I am happy KingsIsle took proper measures, as it could have escalated further (beyond the game). I just hope that true fans of the game have not lost trust or hope in KingsIsle. I also hope KingsIsle has not lost hope and trust in us.

Now that being said I'll post the message from ravenwood news from Prof. Lydia Greyrose.


I want to take this opportunity to clarify what occurred to cause us to close all the Wizard Dorms and Castles & Lands for a day. Players found a way of exploiting a gardening bug in their houses which allowed for infinite harvesting of elder plants.

Players who obviously exploited this bug have been banned, and we will continue to investigate others who may have also taken advantage of something that was clearly not intended.

I obviously won't go in to the details of how the infinite harvest worked, but part of this exploit exposed a larger implication in another bug that our community affectionately calls 'stacking'.

This 'stacking' bug allows you to stack rugs, tables and other furniture pieces in your home to create new levels and interesting structures. This has been a long standing bug, and every time we bring up whether or not to 'fix' it, we realize that this stacking bug is a harmless bug that in fact allows our community to be very creative. We're always delighted to see just how much our players enjoy being creative and we feel that removing the functionality to stack housing items would stifle that creativity, and we obviously don't want to do that!

While we have fixed the gardening exploit that relied on this 'stacking' bug, at this time we do not plan to remove the ability for players to stack their housing items. However, should other exploits be discovered that use this 'stacking' bug, we will have to reassess whether the harm outweighs the creative freedom.

Even though I do , as I call it floating furniture, I would be more than happy to remove any floated items. I do this to make the items stand out more or to create new and fantastic looks. This style is by no means needed to create a fantastic looking house. All I ever want is a safe and fun while I play Wizard101, oh and many many houses :P . Test realm, Grizzlehiem wallpaper and flooring

Greetings Wizards,

First of let me ask forgiveness as I have been down with the horrid flu,I have only been on a few minutes at a time but have been able to do a bit of testing. I have been playing with the new Grizzlehiem floorings and wall papers, first off Way to go Kingsisle we so needed some new looks, cannot wait for more. New floorings are wood plank,wavy grass,claw marked,fur covered,pebble,rough stone, and crystalline tile. New walls are wood plank,patched seal log,runecarved bark,wicker weave,Grizzlehiem doodle,stars and stripes,
Stitched hide, and crystalline brick.

Not sure if many remember what my Grizzlehiem crafted house looked like before but here is a link to the video on central My Grizzlehiem Retreat ,(Just skip to the 3:00 minute count to go inside house) I have noticed I so need to update the video since the house has changed much but it will work for this purpose inside walls and floors for this test realm. When you first go in the house I added the fur covered floor for entrance then in main room the wavy grass and runecarved walls and wow what a big difference this house was lacking so much ,with these new walls and floors gives the house character.

Now this is the house with the crafted showpiece kitchen I now know what it was missing all these times looking at it ;) I used the rough stone floor and patch sealed log walls, gave that kitchen that wow i was looking for. I also used the pebble floor where the water fall area is , I left the rugs so you can see what a big difference just adding a new floor made. Now to the bedroom area i made ,I used the clawed floor and the Grizzlehiem doodle actually looks really good :)

I have also got to preview the new Celestian houses simply amazing! love the new Celestial Observatory(crafted) cannot wait to craft it I see much that can be done with it and it has a PvP arena. The Island Getaway(crowns or gold), wow! who would not want a home on the beach front. Now in this house there is a little area off to the left , it looks like you should be able to go down there but unable unsure if this is a bug or not but I wish we could. IMO would give this house just that bit more it needs.


I wanna go down there.

As Promised I have been doing some PvP. I have done some ranked and some in players homes and what I have found out is. I like it as long as it's not in ranked. Been having some fun at players houses, very respectful , well mannered, PvP nights. These have no teams made up you just run in and that is your team. Now don't get me wrong there are some unmannered players that get in but those are quickly sent away by owner of house. One thing I have found out with these kinds of matches verses ranked matches; Players don't care how much you shield, stun, block each other or heal. This is a way to learn how to over come these. You win some you lose some , it's all about the fun!
There is a video feed of last nights PvP fun night if you are interested in watching Check out PVP Party commentary . I want to give Kodos to Kevin battleBlood and to everyone who does PvP fun nights.


Let me talk about some of the ranked 1v1 battles I have had. Well for one I have had a few really good ones and a few really bad ones, some wins some losses, it's all good. One thing I have found out its more about keeping the rank than having fun. I am one not to care about rank if I lose I do, if I win I do. I will say ranked is not for me ,I play to have fun not to worry about how much rank I can have. Please remember Players- We all play Wizard101 to have fun, If we all keep well mannered, very respectful, we all have fun. win or lose. :)

On to housing, Well of course we have to talk about housing ;). If you have a battle arena MFP house and want me to showcase it while players are having PvP fun nights give me a shout out, and until next time, happy house decorating.

I know I have been so busy please forgive me for not posting. I have been working on my storm wizard, trying to get her to level 58 to receive her new spell and today I made it :D Woot! It was a fun battle used my minion. :) I have been working on gardening with lots of new tips from friends.

Promised to try PvP again since I quit about a year ago , so I have been playing a bit in the arena. This promise came from the Choose My Adventure votes at Massively. Don't forget to vote! Beau Hindman is awaiting to see what his adventure will be .:)

Lets see what else oh starting on a new house , its a big secret so everyone will have to wait, to see what I am designing this time, it's really a struggle trying to get things to work like I want them. ;)

Woot! way to go Storm.

Inside Home tree,cont Pandora wizard101

Greetings Wizards,

Home Tree, well my version ;) Home tree is the place where the people of Pandora live. I did my best to recreate this wizard101 style version.This tree can hold a whole tribe of the people. I showed everyone my version of the world, now I hope you enjoy home tree just as much. The life school house has these inner root system that works perfect for hammocks the people sleep in, these hammocks hang from the the tree, so this are will represent that.


Now we move up the twisted spiral of tree columns , you will see animals plant life and Yes I do have actual gardens inside and outside of this house. First area I have stinkweed , it was kinda hard to hide the furniture item stinkweed likes litter, there is also in one part Evil Snowpeas with a Snowflake Obelisk, I really did not hide this as it went with the decor . Multi levels of this house are shown in this next picture. As we go up and through the tower we come to where they hold their weapons and shields. I planted bears here as the sand worked perfect for where they held their weapons racks. Next in line is the food circle this is where food was made and eaten.




Last on our tour I created a area I hope you enjoy as much as I do, in the movie there is this scene where the stars are swimming in a florescent pool area, water is pouring down and everything is lit up around them. I have laugh-o-dils and baby carrots for plants as they both like the fish fountains I used to recreate the water falls. bright colors to make the fluorescents even added a spinyfish to give creature to the area.
