PLANO, TEXAS (APRIL 28, 2011) – KingsIsle Entertainment, creators of the award-winning online game Wizard101, announced today that the soundtrack for its upcoming expansion world, Wintertusk, was composed by one of the hottest young musical talents in the entertainment industry. Over the course of several weeks the company plans to provide hints about the composer’s identity, culminating in a final reveal timed to Wintertusk’s launch later this spring. https://www.wizard101.com/game/april2011
"This is a cool idea, because our mystery composer has a huge name in the music business but has never created music for a video game,” said J. Todd Coleman, vice president and creative director of Wizard101. “I’m really impressed by this artist's adaptability and talent. I think our players are going to be very surprised and totally blown-away."
To create the soundtrack for Wintertusk, the mystery artist composed seven original pieces of music, each representing a different facet of the upcoming epic storyline. Additional information about the world of Wintertusk can be found at
Wintertusk continues the storyline that began in the icy world of Grizzlehiem, offering a variety of challenges for accomplished Wizards and fantastic rewards such as new spells, high-level pets and exclusive loot. For lower-level players the expansion brings back the underwater realm of Crab Alley, continuing the story of the Crab King, newly returned from his musical world tour.

Pet Egg Coop 101
Greetings Wizards,
Today I am going to show you how to make a pet egg coop, what is a pet egg? It is a new little pet for Easter ,you can dye these pets into a variety of colors ,even two shades of colors just like you would Easter eggs. Here is a image of this cool pet.
Now you have your pet or maybe you have many, what are you to do with them? I made a pet egg coop and I am going to show you my readers how to create one too. This will be a step by step to help show how to create this piece. First off you need a crafted pavilion, its a very simple recipe, and it is my favorite item for this week. You can acquire this recipe from Felicia Worthington, Marleybone. Once you have your pavilion we can continue.
Here are the items you will need to complete this piece of course your pavilion ,three broken wall segments (bazaar is where I got mine),three tatami mats (Mooshu housing shop), three small blue trimmed rugs (Wizard City housing shop, two crates(bazaar),a tic tac toe board (Wizard City housing shop),and misc decorations and front panels (bazaar).I liked the lunar tablet cause it looks neat. Now we have everything to create this new piece. First step is placing your Pavilion make sure you can move all way around it. This is a big piece so you will need room. Once pavilion is in place we can start with set up for the walls.
To work on walls you need a set up with one create and rug; one board and rug; and one tatami mat and wall segment. To crate the rug and create part you will need to attach two rugs end to end and place them on two crates, make sure that it's placed so one of the rugs is off one end. Now grab the crate that only has a bit of the rug on it and move them apart. Now take your wall segment and place it on a tatami mat. I like to place them in a angle so you only see a bit of the mat after wall is placed. To place a wall set up one rug and crate where you want wall to go. Then place the rug and board on top of the rug and crate. Now place the wall by only moving the tatami mat,and make sure to pick up only the rug. This will leave the wall segment in place. Repeat this for each wall. Here are the images to help.
Now we have our walls up and now we need a front cover. I used the lunar tablets but you can use another wall or anything else you may want to be creative ;). If you use a wall It will stick out on one end but I am sure you can decorate to make it look great. Like I said I used the lunar tablets. To use these and get them close enough to pavilion, so I needed to float them on a rug and board set up very simple, place rug and board them tablet then move rug and board away by moving only the rug.
Now for the fun part ;), Decorating your coop trees, straw piles, egg pets, and plant life. Anything you would like to see in this area. Be creative! How ever you would like your coop to look is up to you :). I am going to show you a cool little trick I found by accident. How to get your Pet Egg to go up and down the ramp of your coop. Grab hold of you pavilion and move it, yup I said move it, it will leave everything in place. It will turn red place it some where else and pick it up. Now replace in the same exact spot it was in to begin with. Place egg pets , some close to ramp, some inside this will allow the pets to move freely up and down ramp. Kinda cool huh? I thought so :). There are images of the finished piece, and my pet up on the ramp below this. Hope you enjoyed this week's segment and until next time, happy house decorating.

Housing Showcase Sarai Ice & Kane Gaintblood
Greetings Wizards,
Sarai Ice decorated her Grizzlehiem watchtower is a very unique way. The outside grounds area is made of of trails that lead to new areas. She also has a meditation area and a small carnival park.
The area that caught my eye was the inside. She made her own planters with misc furniture ,pretty awesome I have to say. She took her time to decorate the inside of this house with special items to create the whole look. Kitchen, grand dining hall, a den/music room that was breath taking, even some little hidden area you can take little sneak peek at. Sarai even created a version of bunk beds .I made a slide show for all to see this special house. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I Also got to visit Kane GaintBloods Island getaway and he made the main room of this house something to show this house does not have to look like a tiki hut. The way he decorated his room made me stop and look and say I like it. Simply by adding some new wallpaper and flooring this room was transformed from a island room to a royal hall , even to me the room looked so much bigger than it truly is. I hope you enjoy this weeks housing showcases as much as I did viewing them. Until next time, happy house decorating.

Wizard101 Mount-a-palooza!
Greetings Wizards,
Mounts will roam free in your wizard101 houses and do I see a couple of the new pets! That is right wizards between April 8th - 17th all permanent mounts are on sale up to 50% off. Wow!! Looks like houses will come to live with more new and fantastic ideas. I know I am going to get as many mounts as I can. :D
Kingsisle did not state when all this was going live. I am sure it has something to do with the new release of new expansion Wintertusk coming soon to the spiral. I also saw 3 new pets in that video a scarecrow, humongofrog and a kraken makes me think these will be the newest pets for higher level wizards. :) I also saw a really interesting plant as the video moves to Mooshu house ;) Can you spot it?
My Mind is flooding with new housing ideas ,I can tell yours are too. so until next time, happy house decorating.

I have a mini showcase for you, from John LifeGlen. He made a really great area for diving in his house. First you stop and the diving shop and buy all your needs tanks ,masks, ect.. From the shop lady. Then you dive right into a colorful area of corals and sea creatures. Hope you enjoy these 2 images of his diving shop and aquarium.
As I was rummaging through my wizards the other day I found this dorm room I created for a old contest I had about dorm rooms. I took a few items away from it but had forgotten about the top and its all still there. Here is the image of the top of that dorm room.
I have been going back through all my houses and seeing what I can do to make the older ones better, some I will never change and some I will be updating. Maybe I'll so a few segments of the old and new looks for you my readers. I am working on a new project. Thanks to The Friendly Necromancer for giving me a new nickname which gave me the idea. McMoonShade's farm . ;) I have plenty of the Pet Egg for my chicken coop. It is going to be fun creating this house. More to come about this house.
I am also trying to get some of my readers questions answered on how things are done ,one being going under things. I hope you enjoyed this weeks segment and until next time, happy house decorating.
