Weekly update & Mercenaries for Hire

Greetings Wizards,

It has been a very busy week, so not much of a post this week. I am still working on the studio recreation house, sunken palace and my next sun palace. I'll give you a sneak peek of the studio house at the end of this post.

I am working on getting all my Paige MoonShade wizards new level 68 spells. I have so far got the Balance, Fire, and  Death school spells.  Working on Ice now. My death is still soloing, finally got through Celestia's Trial of Spheres, it was fun. I did have some issues in the Savannah in Zafaria , thank you Olivia from Mercenaries for Hire  for helping me with the queen there. I still dunno why I was having so much trouble with her.

I was also trying to get my Ice level 60 gear from the waterworks. Still need my boots and robe. If you ever need help with a quest or just farming there is a really great group on Wizard101 Central , they are called Mercenaries for Hire aka M4H is run by John Shadow . This group helps with any quest that a player would need help with, some rules apply though for asking for help. I know sometimes it might take a small bit of time to get help as they can become very busy, do not fret though they will help you just have to be patient, this is all explained in the rules.

This group runs like clockwork with precision for each area. The Mercenaries for Hire  team that helps you will explain what you need in your spell deck and and explain each part of the area you are in. There is also a post for quick help guides: Help links . Night Before a Wizard Christmas

It was the night before a Wizard Christmas, 

when all through the spiral,

Not a wizard was battling, it was rather quite frightful.

All the of spiral houses were decorated with much care,

All hoping Felix Navidad would soon be there.

The wizards were tucked all warm in their beds,

While dreams of pets danced in their heads.

 Greyrose with her wand and Ambrose with his staff,

While Cyrus was complaining about a classroom draft.

When out of the shopping district arose such a clatter,

Ravenwood staff arose to see what was the matter.

Away through the commons they flew like a flash,

Each on their wing mounts attached with a sash.

With all the stars glistening in the sky ,

Gave a wonderful glow to see where they would fly.
Arriving they find all the holiday pets loose,

A miniature wooden wagon, and eight tiny Chrismoose.

A red suited driver, so happy and quick,

They knew in a moment it must be Felix .

More static than lighting bolts his movements came,

Then he shouted, calling each pet by name!

"Now Snowball! now, Christmas Elf! now, Yuletide and Frostman!On, Polar cat! On, Arctic Pig! on,  Ice Snake and Snowman!To the top of Headmaster Ambrose's tower! over the brick wall!Now battle away! Battle away! Battle away all!"

Fun at Walmart

I  was at Walmart today looking at some clothes when this lady came up to me ask said, “Excuse me but my Granddaughter says she knows you?” I said “She does?” And I looked over at this cute little wizard.  Her wizard name is Megan. She was giggling behind her Grandmother’s shopping cart. Megan’s Grandmother proceeded to tell me that is was something about a game the young girl plays. I said “Could it be Wizard101?” Little Megan was so excited. I said “Nice to meet you Megan.”  I am unsure why, but she asked for my autograph , so I signed it for her with a flourish : Paige MoonShade. We talked for a bit I had told Megan’s Grandmother about playing the game with my family and the she asked if Megan would like for her to play. Young Megan , "Yes!"

The whole event was so humbling and I am in awe over it.

I am unsure if you will ever read this Megan but if you do. It was great to meet you and your grandmother. I would love to meet in game sometime.

New Christmas Decorations

Christmas comes to the spiral in the form of decorations(visit crowned shop). From trees and presents to even wallpaper, candycanes and snowflakes to go on your walls. This year wizards of all ages can decorate their wizard101 house is a festive holiday theme. For outside we have the snowman and stick candycanes to trail any walkway.

Don't forget to put those cookies out for ole St. Nick that is right wizards we have cookies and milk this item is interactive. You can eat your cookies and milk but they do take away to come back. best to leave those for Santa. ;) Thank you Cass these are amazing.



Don't worry wizards I did find out you can bring them back by logging out of your account. If you do not want to wait and see how long they take to come back. Lights! Camera! Paige! The trip to the Lone Star.

I was in Dallas, TX on Nov.21 and 22nd having the most amazing time with Fred Howard (I know, right? WOW!) and a filming crew at Green Grass Studios. The Studio is known for doing commercials and is not owned by KingsIsle. I met some writers from a few online gaming magazines...such as The Friendly Necromancer!!!! He is such an amazing person. I also met some of the most AWESOME of wizards! *Waves hello to the young wizards.*

I have actually been on the other side of the camera before, watching and meeting some very amazing people, but I have NEVER been in front of it! I was worried at first, but because this was familiar to me (and because I remembered that I’m here to help KI), I eventually felt calm. What I’ve learned from this experience was, “Be yourself, and nothing can go wrong. Even if you are a bundle of nerves just take a deep breath and talk about what you know best.”

If you are reading from a script or talking about something you love, it’s much easier to do if you express your true self. I got to talk about my Balance wizard, how much I love housing, and how fun Wizard101 is (especially having the opportunity to play with family and friends). And, I didn’t forget: it’s also YOU, the community, and how awesome every single one of you are! Let's not forget to mention how easy Wizard101 is to play, along with a depth of complexity as you advance further and further!


We even had an makeup artist “do” us up, which was so much fun! (Therapeutic in a way...) ;)

At one point during the day, we sat down with Fred Howard and talked about the game. It was so much fun to receive and share insight about the Spiral. *Gasp* I just sat down with Fred Howard! Now I sound like a star struck kid! ;) It was such a surreal experience.

What is better than a geek convention?
( A bunch of wizards in a room with a time lapsed camera! ;) )

We all got signed posters, and I got a Professor Greyrose poster! Images below:



We toured the studio, and found some interesting space doors. Shh, don't tell anyone! ;) I also saw some interesting paintings and props. I cannot wait to decorate a house to look just like it. (More to come in the next housing post. ;) ) Everyone will have to wait to see it. I do think I will be using a Balance school house, though. All props were owned by the Green Grass studios.

This painting was named “Spiralman” by Friendly. I am sure you can see why.


The props included drums, a ship cannon, ship’s roping stand ( what is that called again? )... I have a question, though: Where's the ship??



I got to ramble about my younger days in drama class, when the first "Dawn of the Dead" movie came out (the year is not important!). We all dressed up as zombies, and actually got kicked out of Zody’s (sorta like Target’) and the mall! (Here I go again, rambling!) I know you all don't want to hear those stories.

Oh! Wait, did I say I was in the commercial too? This commercial starts airing on December 12th, on Lifetime and Oxygen networks. I cannot wait to see it! It was such a humbling experience...and I felt so honored that I was given this opportunity to help KingsIsle promote Wizard101. I want to mention that the whole filming crew was simply amazing, and it was fun to be able to meet all of them. Below is a slide show of more images...I about died when I saw the James Dean picture! I know most of you have found this cool housing item. I wanted to show you how to use it. It is a very simple 1,2,3 steps.

2. Click on the player to show the music icon, click on icon.
3. pick the music you would like and on bottom of new window click music icon.

The Hidden Temple ( Sun Palace)

Greetings wizards,

Welcome to my hidden Aztec temple. I decided to create my sun palace into a hidden temple lost in a lush jungle of plants and animals. It was fun trying to get each piece to look as if it could really be a real life jungle. From palms trees to the large canopy trees even the elephant ear plants added that perfect touch. There was one time I started asking friends what kind of animals would we find in the jungles, it was so much fun trying to find ones that were like ones they were mentioning. Both images below show the jungle and a view from the balcony.




There is a hidden cove through a wall on the arena side of the house, what a better way to make a hidden Marleybonian camp site for all those adventurers coming from Marleybone.



I took my vision of the inside from a few rain forest images I found on the internet. Bright colors and lush plant life. I even added bamboo and water gardens. To complete a full look of nature flowing through each of the rooms.






Of course what house can be without a kitchen and bamboo fountain dining hall, completed with plants to keep the natural feel flowing. A music hall which in all is my favorite room. Sofas to sit and enjoy to violin and piano playing, while watching the water fountain adds much needed surreal feels to complete this house.

I for one absolutely adore this house. The sky glowing red and yellows. This palace is enormous I counted at least 8 rooms ( might of lost count ;) ) I did find the battle arena though. It is that big, item count is 250/250. It has interactive doors , meaning you can click x to open them. The inside view of this palace is such a grand view with craved wooden heads, vast open rooms and the decor of large open windows and walls fans made me take in a deep breath , so beautiful.




Outside yard areas are just as beautiful as the indoors, vast landscapes running streams and the waterfalls, there is even a ape that gives you prizes each day. The water falls are in 2 places the brilliant blueish green water of the outer area and then the double crystal blue waterfalls inside the cave area makes this whole landscape surreal.





The gear with this GameStop is like any of the bundle cards you get to choose your stats same for the dancing blade. I will tell you I normally do not like the look of the gear but this is not to bad. I really like the blade it comes with. The pet giraffe is so life like and adorable. The outfit is able to be dyed, it comes in red but I just cannot rock that color.

Giant Hornocerous 2 passenger Mount , this is about the best mount I have seen . Its fun to give rides on. ( I was in the commons giving rides yesterday. ) It also helps you when you are questing with a friend or your other account. Just add the player to a group and they will get the click x to climb aboard, to get off the mount all they have to do is hit a arrow key.
